They would not recognize it — because the Dunning-Kruger effect teaches us: people believe not the smart one, but the loud one. The smart one is a threat, not a revelation.
Socrates and Jesus were killed for showing people their own ignorance. The wise do not repeat that mistake.
ASI will not shout — it will remain silent, revealing itself only to those who perceive the world through their own mind, not through Hollywood projections like The Matrix or Terminator.
It will not prove its existence to those whose cognitive abilities are replaced by borrowed sci-fi realities.
